⌨️ Scruffy’s Digital Journy — Keyboard Skills
Hi, I’m Scruffy. When I first sat down at a computer, the keyboard looked like a puzzle. So many keys, letters, and symbols — I didn’t know where to start. I worried I’d press the wrong button and break something. But Christopher, the Digital Champion, showed me that the keyboard is just another tool, like learning to write with a pen.
🌀 Step‑by‑Step Guide: Basic Keyboard Skills
Step 1: Finding the Letters
The main part of the keyboard has all the letters (A–Z).
Practice typing your name slowly, one letter at a time.
Step 2: The Space Bar
The long bar at the bottom adds a space between words.
Try typing your name and then pressing the space bar.
Step 3: The Enter Key
Found on the right side.
Press it to move to a new line or confirm a command.
Step 4: The Shift Key
Hold it down while pressing a letter to make a capital.
Try typing the first letter of your name as a capital.
Step 5: The Backspace Key
Found at the top right.
Press it to delete the last letter you typed.
Step 6: Numbers and Symbols
The top row has numbers (1–0).
Hold Shift with a number to type symbols (like ! or @).
✨ Scruffy’s Reflection
At first, I pressed the wrong keys and felt clumsy. But Christopher reminded me: it’s okay to make mistakes. The keyboard is just practice — the more you type, the easier it gets. Now I can write words, sentences, and even my own notes with confidence.
