Hi, Iâm Scruffy. When I first tried to use the address bar, I saw words already written there â the homepage address. I didnât know what to do. Christopher explained that this is the perfect moment to practice my mouse and keyboard skills again.
đ StepâbyâStep Guide: Removing the Homepage Address
Step 1: Click Inside the Address Bar
Use your mouse to move the pointer to the long box at the top of the browser.
Leftâclick once.
The homepage address will highlight in blue.
Step 2: Clear the Address
If itâs highlighted, you can simply start typing â the old text will disappear.
Or press the Backspace key on the keyboard to delete it.
Step 3: Type Your Search or Website
Use the keyboard to type something new, like:
BBC News
Sky News
Weather
Press Enter to go there.
