🗂️ File Management
File management is simply the way you organise, save, and find your work on a computer. Think of it like keeping papers tidy in a filing cabinet — it helps you know where everything is when you need it.
📥 Saving Files
When you create something (like a document), click File → Save As.
Choose a folder (like Documents) and give your file a clear name.
Click Save — now your work is stored safely.
📂 Organising Files
Create folders for different topics (e.g., Schoolwork, Photos, Bills).
Inside each folder, you can make subfolders (e.g., Bills → 2025).
Move files by dragging them into the right folder.
🔎 Finding Files
Use the Search bar in File Explorer to look for a file by name.
You can also sort files by date or type to make searching easier.
🧹 Tidying Up
Delete files you no longer need (they’ll go to the Recycle Bin).
Empty the Recycle Bin occasionally to free up space.
Rename files if their names don’t make sense — clear names help later.
💡 Tip: Good file management saves time and reduces stress. A tidy computer makes it easier to focus on learning and enjoying technology.
