🗂️ File Management

File management is simply the way you organise, save, and find your work on a computer. Think of it like keeping papers tidy in a filing cabinet — it helps you know where everything is when you need it.

📥 Saving Files

  • When you create something (like a document), click File → Save As.

  • Choose a folder (like Documents) and give your file a clear name.

  • Click Save — now your work is stored safely.

📂 Organising Files

  • Create folders for different topics (e.g., Schoolwork, Photos, Bills).

  • Inside each folder, you can make subfolders (e.g., Bills → 2025).

  • Move files by dragging them into the right folder.

🔎 Finding Files

  • Use the Search bar in File Explorer to look for a file by name.

  • You can also sort files by date or type to make searching easier.

🧹 Tidying Up

  • Delete files you no longer need (they’ll go to the Recycle Bin).

  • Empty the Recycle Bin occasionally to free up space.

  • Rename files if their names don’t make sense — clear names help later.

💡 Tip: Good file management saves time and reduces stress. A tidy computer makes it easier to focus on learning and enjoying technology.
