🖱️ Scruffy’s Digital Journy — Mouse Skills
Hi, I’m Scruffy. When I first sat at a computer, the mouse felt strange. I didn’t know how to hold it, and I kept moving it too fast. Sometimes the pointer flew across the screen, and I thought I’d never get it right. But Christopher, the Digital Champion, showed me step by step how to use it.
🌀 Step‑by‑Step Guide: Basic Mouse Skills
Step 1: Holding the Mouse
Place it on a flat surface.
Rest your hand gently over it.
Your index finger goes on the left button, your middle finger on the right button.
Step 2: Moving the Pointer
Slide the mouse slowly.
Watch the pointer move across the screen.
Practice stopping the pointer on an icon.
Step 3: Left Click
Press the left button once.
This selects items or opens menus.
Step 4: Double Click
Quickly press the left button twice.
This opens programs or files.
Step 5: Right Click
Press the right button once.
A menu will appear with extra options.
Step 6: Scrolling
Use the wheel in the middle to move up and down a page.
✨ Scruffy’s Reflection
At first, I clicked too hard or too slow. But Christopher reminded me: it’s okay to practice. The mouse is just like learning to ride a bike — wobbly at first, but smoother with time. Now I can point, click, and scroll with confidence.
